KAWARTHA CHARITY RIDERS RC

Add Meaning to your Ride

ABOUT US

We are the Kawartha Charity Riders Riding Club. A community based Riding Club assisting families and organizations in Kawartha Lakes and surrounding area. We do multiple fundraising events throughout the year to help families get through difficult times. For most of us, riding a motorcycle changed our lives, being a Kawartha Charity Rider gives us a chance to give back and maybe change someone else's life.

Adding Meaning to Our Ride Since 2009

The Kawartha Charity Riders RC is a non-profit organization (Kawartha Riding Club) who donates all the money we raise to local families and charity organizations. We support several charity organizations including but not limited to: Kawartha Lakes Food Source, A Place Called Home, Big Brothers & Sisters, BGC Kawarthas Foundation, John Howard Society and Special Olympics. We also support local families that are going through hard times by using monies that we raise for our Community Emergency Fund. Every year at Christmas we put together an average of 30 Christmas Hampers to deliver to families.

2020 was a tough year for everyone, we had to rethink and replan how we do our fundraising. We introduced a "virtual" poker run and online raffles to our list of events and managed to raise almost $20,000 during a pandemic. KCR along with some very generous local businesses were instrumental in providing Christmas dinners to close to 300 people.

2021 proved to be just as trying as the previous year. While doing our best to follow all the COVID-19 guidelines we were able to put on most of our events with only a few minor changes as to how we do things. We have been able to raise & donate $24,403 this year. We are excited to exceed our $20,000 goal.

2022. Although this was a great year for our fundraising, the Club is going thru some major changes. We are hoping to have all this sorted out by next riding season.
On the fundraising side, we are doing great things, donating over $80 000 in cash and items.
We have forged new business friendships, new fundraising ideas, and even though the faces of KCR may be changing the spirit and heart remain the same.

To date, the Kawartha Charity Riders have donated over $350,000 to families and organizations in need. For 2023 we are hoping to keep doing what we do.

WE ARE PROUD TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY!

THINKING ABOUT JOINING?

The Kawartha Charity Riders still believe that hard work and commitment need to be rewarded. This is not an internet club or a Facebook Group. Our patch is earned. We do not discriminate and the only requirements needed to be a member are that you ride and that you help out. If you are interested, come and hang out; go for a ride with us; volunteer at an event...see if our club is the right fit for you.
